thrift- store shoopingg(:
{{the outfit in that set was my attempt at being hipster-y... i failed. im sorry.}}
shopping in thrift stores is a great way to get interesting items that you know no one else will have. i have a friend who went to salvation army last weekend and found the coolest vintage leather bag ever! and now she's decorating the side of it with gold studs, to give it a little flairr. she's gotten at least 4 compliments on it when I've been with her in the past two days, because it's so unique!
soo it just goes to show that sifting through stuff at a thrift store is a great way to find stuff thats cheap, can be veryy cute, and different from anything anyone else will have!
- what to look for;
& oversized super- warm grandpa cardigans or funky sweaters to wear over leggings and boots! this is a perfectt comfy- casual- cute outfit. look for something with an adorable pattern or cool buttons!
& bags! if you're not into buying old clothess, you can still find some super cute vintage bags and things at thrift stores/ consignment stores.♥
& those ballin' 80's windbreakers that come in all those really cool bright colors. not only are they great to have for a last- minute decades costume, but they are super- cute if you have the confidence to wear something funkyy(:
& explore your local salvation army or other thrift store, and let me know what you find! i'll add it to the list!(:
- TiPS for thrift- store shopping;
& be PATIENT. you may not get lucky enough to find something geat on your first visit, but don't get up! you'll have that great find eventually!!
& if you're broke and need something to do with your friends, this is a perfect idea. the best part about shopping at consigment stores is that the best items usually only cost $5 or less! so grab a couple bucks, and hit the stores(:
& have funnn!

school bags- which one to pick, what to put in it, and taking care of it..♥
- it's important to pick the right bag for school stuff. you want it to be..
& durable! this is probably the most important, you don't want your bag straps breaking on you or your books falling out all the time!
& cute.. obviously(:
& not too expensive, since you'll be using it every day.
& BIG. it sucks trying to stuff all your junk into a too- small bag.
- backpacks are great, but my personal preference is a cute, large tote bag. NO HATE to all you backpack loverrs out there(: just personal preference. i like the tote bag because it can double as a purse, or travel bag. basically, it's more versatile 'cuz you can use it for more stuff.
- urban outfitters usually has great bags that are big, durale, and not too expensive! also, i put some cute ideas for bags over there on the side. check it outt. >>
- in your bag, you should keep..
& school books. duhh.
& ipod, phone, all that jazz.
& camera! if you're anything like me, you like to have a camera around so you can capture those hilarious candid moments with yourr amigas(:
& makeup bag- just the basics will do. concealer, eyeliner, and maybe one of thosse little makeup remover wipes. and thats all you'll need♥
& baindaids, bobby pins, and safety pins. these things are MORE important than you might think!
& extra pens and pencils. always.
-taking care of your bag...
& don't drop your candy wrappers, trash, and other crap in there! clean out all the trash and stuff like once a week.
& if your straps break or something, DON't DESPAIR!(: just take it to the local shoe- repair place (idk what they're called, hahah) they should be able to fix just about anything!

THAT'S iT! comment & requestt please, feedback is much appreciated(:

easy steps to flawless skin.♥
first of all, for perfect skin, you'll only need 5 things.
- face wash
& neutrogena is the best brand, look for something with "exfoliating beads" or anything that has a good, scrubby feel. my absolute favorite is the oil- free acne stress control power- clear scrub by neutrogena. it's a scrub, but still has a cream feel to it.
& one way to know is it's a good face wash is whether or not it gives you that good, tingly feeling after you rinse.
& finding a face wash you like is a bit of a trial and error process, so have patience and make sure you absolutely LOVE a face wash before buying it again.
- pimple cream
& you'll wear this overnight, so feel free to pile on as much as you want.
& clean and clear persa- gel. comes in a little white tube you can get at target. this stuff works, 'nuff said.
& be careful when using this- if you already have dry skin, it can dry you out like no other.
- moisturizer or face lotion
& if you have oily skin, use this in moderation whenever your skin feels dry.
& if you have dry skin, be sure to use this after scrubbing your face.
& if you buy tinted moisturizer, you may also want a non- tinted moisturizer to wear at night, because tinted tends to clog your pores more easily.
- concealer
& again, neutrogena is the best brand. one of our close family friends is a dermatologist, and this is the only brand of make-up he lets his patients use. their under-eye concealer is a lifesaver.
& neutrogena also makes a great skin- clearing concealer for use on pimples and zits.
- mineral powder
& this is the ONLY way to go for face makeup. not only is liquid foundation harsh on skin, it is extremely pore- clogging, and it doesn't look have as natural as a mineral powder foundation will.
& if you're willing to spend a little more, go fore bare minerals' mineral foundation. it's the absolute best there is. it costs about $25 for a tub of powder, and it can usually last at least two months or so. definitely worth the extra money spent, this is the only foundation i use.

and that's all you need! wash your face twice a day, and use moisturizer once or twice, depending on your skin type. as for putting on face makeup, make sure you keep it light and natural looking- less is more here, ladies!(:

what to do before a school dance.♥
- make sure you eat lunch... you don't want to be starving by dinnertime! it'll make you cranky(: eat something healthy, but filling, for example-- a turkey sandwhich, chips, fruit, and salad.
- after lunch, go on a short jog. this right here is the KEY to having a great day&eveningg. not only is running a great last- minute calorie burner, but the after- workout endorphins will put you in a great mood and help you to be excited instead of nervous for yourr special night.
- after you get back, make sure you stretch (you don't want to be sore when you're trying out your best dance movees.. haha) and then SHOWeR.
- use your yummiest smelling soaps, body wash, shampoos, and conditioners! use extra conditioner and let it soak before rinsing so your hair will be beautiful and shiny!
- dont forget to shave your legs!
- after you shower, have your friends over so you can get ready together! doing hair and makeup is wayy less stressful when your friends are there to help(:
- make sure you take a small clutch or handbag, and include: backup gloss, concealer, and eyeliner, a small hairbrush or comb, moneyy just in case, a little hollywood clothing tape (if you don't know what this is, look it up!! its a lifesaverr♥), gum, tampons, your school i.d., and your phone.
- dont forget to brush your teeth before you leave! and have a greatt night(:
